Fried Apple Slices - Farm Girl Fresh

Fried Apple Slices

19 October, 2017 / by Joyce and Colleen

Looking for an easy, kid-friendly apple recipe? My grandsons were over recently and we enjoyed making Fried Apple Slices together for our afternoon snack.
I have an apple corer that works slick to core before slicing.
But slicing first and then coring each slice with a knife works well, too.
With supervision, kids can learn a life skill at a young age.

The ingredients in this recipe are all beneficial – from the vitamin C in apples, good healthy fat in butter, medicinal qualities of cinnamon to the minerals found in pure maple syrup. It’s hard to beat this yummy snack!

We’d recommend getting a good apple peeler and an apple corer for your apple recipes.  Happy cooking! (Affiliate Links)

3 apples
2 to 3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Maple syrup, optional

Wash, core and slice apples. In a large skillet, fry apple slices in butter over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzle maple syrup on top.

Makes 4 servings
